Board Certified or Board Eligible, Gastroenterologist to provide coverage asap for 3 months with option to extend. Work hours are M-F 8a-4:30pm. No Call. Provide inpatient consultations (approx 2-3 day) and evaluation of new & return outpatients (approx 20 per day). Perform esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) diagnostic & therapeutic screening/survelliance); esophageal sclerotherapy, colonoscopy, biopsy & polypectomy, esophageal dilation "Balloon & Bougie", small bowel biopsy, percutaneous endoscopic feeding tube placement; flexible sigmoidoscopy (diagnostic & therapeutic screening/surveillance) with biopsy and/or polypectomy;& diagnostic & therapeutic paracentesis. *Must have ACLS. Performs history & physicals, order prescriptions, labs, x-rays & other pertinent tests. Refers patients to other specialty care as required. *Must have computer skills, site uses computerized medical records system.
