(1) full time & (1) part time Board Certified, IM, ER residency trained or FP with appropriate training/experience ER Physician for the period 7/6/09-10/2/09 with options to extend through 6/30/10. Sun-Sat 8a-7:39am including Weekends & Holidays . Call as needed to supplement current ER staff. Non-trauma emergency service. Work independently outpatient clinic setting. Days, nights, weekends, holiday coverage. Should the need arise the EM physician is responsible for providing care to inpatients during non-administrative hours as well as the community living center adjacent to the medical center. The medical center provides coverage with a dedicated "first call assigned physician." Make telephone arrangements when a patient needs to be transferred to another hospital. Provide consults, progress notes, order, patient discharge medication scripts. Must have computer skills, site uses computerized records system. Must carry pager until next shift arrives. ACLS.
